Terms of use
By using OpenGraph Preview, you agree to use the service responsibly and understand the limits of automated metadata inspection.
Last updated: 30 October 2026
Acceptable use
Use the tool only for URLs and content you are authorised to inspect. Do not attempt to bypass access controls, overload the service, interfere with other users or use the tool to target internal networks.
Automated inspection
URL inspections request publicly accessible pages and referenced images. The service applies request, redirect, timeout and response-size limits. Some websites may block automated requests, return different HTML to crawlers, or require authentication. The service may therefore fail to inspect a URL even when it opens in your browser.
Preview accuracy
Social platform previews are visual simulations based on the metadata retrieved or entered. They are not official renderings, do not refresh third-party caches and do not guarantee how Facebook, X, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Discord, Slack or any other service will display a link.
No SEO or ranking guarantee
Open Graph metadata is primarily used for sharing previews. Using this tool or adding tags does not guarantee search engine rankings, indexing, AI Overview visibility, traffic, leads or revenue.
Generated code
Generated metadata is a starting point. Review URLs, descriptions, canonical values, image accessibility and framework-specific requirements before deploying it to production.
Availability
The service is provided on an as-available basis. Features may change, be limited or be discontinued. You remain responsible for maintaining backups and verifying changes on your own website.
